ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) – The Rockford City Market will begin it’s 10th year this Friday.
The market will welcome 21 new vendors on opening day, offering anything from churros to barbecue.
The new indoor market hall will also be open on Fridays with bathrooms, more seating and drinks.
In all, there will be 70 vendors to browse. In 2010, on the Rockford City Market’s first day, there were just 16 vendors.
Mercyhealth will also be on hand at the City Market.
Every Friday, the hospital will have a different team of doctors, nurses and staff to talk about the services offered to the community.
This week, the Advanced Primary Stroke Center team will be at opening day, since May is National Stroke Awareness Month.
