Weight Management Program: How We’re Different

We give you comprehensive solutions for a complex problem

Perhaps you’ve tried many different ways to lose weight: fad diets, supplements, prescription medications, online programs, weekly group meetings, or even just cutting back on calories and exercising more. Granted, most of these methods work, but they can be difficult to stick with for the long run, and of course, some of them are simply not good or healthy ways to maintain your health and well-being.

Our Weight Management Program offers something different: a safe, sound, and medically supervised way to gradually lose weight and keep it off for a lifetime.

How you create lasting results for safe weight loss

  • A consultation with a board-certified family or internal medicine doctor who specializes in weight loss.
  • A nutrition assessment and follow-up visits with a registered dietitian with a certificate of training in adult weight management.
  • Education geared toward your lifestyle: for example, dining and cooking, holiday and travel habits.
  • An exercise assessment and prescription from an exercise physiologist, plus two free personal training sessions and regular follow-up visits.
  • The option to exercise at three Mercy facilities.
  • Lifestyle counseling by a clinical psychologist to help you focus on permanent weight loss.
  • Documentation sent to your doctor regarding your progress.
  • Follow-up care as needed.
