Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

Welcome to the Mercyhealth Employee Assistance Program

We’re all occasionally troubled by personal, family, or work-related problems. Looking for a solution can be frustrating, time-consuming, and may impact your employees’ ability to perform at their best.

The Mercyhealth Employee Assistance Program (EAP) can quickly and easily connect your employees with the appropriate resources at a minimal cost to you as their employer.

The program is completely confidential and offers personalized solutions. It is often the most expedient help for troubled workers, so they can perform better and improve the quality of their lives. That means your organization can benefit from reduced costs, improved workforce productivity, and decreased lost work time.

An Employee Assistance Program is a benefit that is paid for by your company, for employees and their household members. An EAP can help them find resources to solve personal problems that, if not resolved, could negatively impact their work performance.

Help for employees

Some of the concerns bringing your staff in for EAP services might include the following:

  • Stress management
  • Depression
  • Eldercare issues
  • Grief and loss
  • Gambling
  • Legal and financial issues
  • Parenting support
  • Marital or relational issues
  • Substance abuse
  • Anger management
  • Work-related issues
  • Balancing work and life

Once your EAP is in place, access to our services is easy. When one of your employees needs a prepaid referral for EAP assistance, he or she visits our specially-trained staff at one of our many locations in the northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin area. Our employee assistance professionals will assess each client’s needs, and provide recommendations and/or referrals to appropriate local community resources.

Support for managers

  • Confidential employee assessment/referrals, as appropriate
  • Employee/manager consultation
  • Critical incident stress debriefing services
  • Assistance in managing procedures associated with EAP
  • On-site training as requested
