The House of Mercy is a 25-bed homeless center in Janesville that provides homeless families throughout southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois with short-term emergency shelter and access to housing, job placement and child care resources. Staff at the Center help the homeless assess their needs, obtain appropriate referrals and services, and design an action plan aimed at achieving more stable housing. Meals On Wheels provides affordable meals for the elderly or disabled in their homes. The meals are made fresh in the cafeterias of Mercyhealth Hospital and Trauma Center–Janesville and Mercyhealth Hospital and Medical Center–Harvard.
