The subspecialty of neuropsychology deals with the science of brain-behavior relationships. How does what your brain does affect what your body does and vice versa? And why is this relationship between your mind and your body so difficult sometimes?

Mercyhealth’s neuropsychologist applies assessment and intervention principles based on the scientific study of human behavior across the lifespan as it relates to normal and abnormal functioning of the central nervous system.

Your clinical neuropsychologist will use psychological, neurological, or physiological methods to evaluate your cognitive and emotional strengths and weaknesses and translate these findings to normal and abnormal central nervous system functioning.
