Autism Services

Fact: Approximately 1% of American children aged 3 to 17 have an autism spectrum disorder. Prevalence is estimated at one in 59 births.

Fact: While children cannot outgrow autism, it is treatable. Early diagnosis and intervention are essential for success.

Autism can be a baffling disorder. Parents and caregivers have many questions and concerns when children display unusual behaviors. Is my child on the spectrum or is it something else?

Mercyhealth Behavioral Health Services offers comprehensive evaluation and treatment for children with a variety of autism spectrum disorders. The Mercyhealth Autism Program can offer intensive, in-home behavioral services to children ages 2 to 8 and non-intensive services to all children and young adults.

We help guide you and your child

Do you suspect your child has autism? Your first step is a phone screening. After that, your child will receive a comprehensive evaluation by a licensed psychologist who has experience working with children with autism. This process helps us identify whether or not your child could benefit from Mercyhealth Autism Program services.

Our program offers intensive, in-home behavioral services for children aged 2 to 8 and non-intensive services to all children, teens and young adults with autism. We also offer weekly social skills classes and psychiatric management.

We work closely with your insurance company to help you understand how your benefits cover our services.
