ROCKFORD — The Mercyhealth EMS System recently held the graduation of its 2019 Rockford Paramedic Class at Javon Bea Hospital and Physician Clinic–Rockton.
The paramedic class graduated with 11 students. The 10-month, full-time training program is coordinated through Mercyhealth’s Prehospital and Emergency Services Center. Students spend a minimum of 1,200 hours in training. In order to graduate, students must have a minimum of an 80% pass rate.
Mercyhealth is currently taking applications for the 2019-20 Rockford Paramedic Program. To apply by June 5: mercyems.org.
