ROCKFORD — Mercyhealth recently announced multiple hires.
Mercyhealth welcomed Dr. Funminiyi Taylor, board-certified and fellowship-trained maternal-fetal medicine physician, to its staff at Mercyhealth Hospital-Rockton Avenue. Taylor earned her medical degree at the Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Stephen Kozlowski, board-certified and fellowship-trained rheumatology physician, joined the staff at Mercyhealth Rockton Avenue, Building 1. Kozlowski earned his medical degree at Loyola University of Chicago, Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood and served his internal residency at Northwestern University Medical Center in Chicago.
Cardiologist Dr. Samir K. Shah joined the staff at the Mercyhealth Heart and Vascular Center. Shah is board-certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease, and fellowship-trained in cardiovascular disease. He earned his medical degree at BJ Medical College in Ahmedabad, India and completed his internal medicine residency at Weiss Memorial Hospital in Chicago.
Mercyhealth welcomed twin brothers and neuroradiology physicians Drs. Christopher Grant and Terrance R. Grant. Christopher and Terrance earned their medical degrees at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago.
Dr. Muhammed Sherid joined Mercyhealth’s team of physician specialists. Sherid earned his medical degree at Damascus University and served his internal medicine residency at St. Francis Hospital, University of Illinois at Chicago in Evanston.
Sean Muserallo and Stephanie Spickler joined the marketing and public relations staff as a media specialist. Muserallo, a former WREX-TV anchor, is working with area media outlets to coordinate news stories and special projects. Spickler brings knowledge of strategic marketing plan development, digital marketing, social media marketing and content development to the Mercyhealth team.
