JANESVILLE, Wisconsin—Expectant mothers and mothers with a child born between April and October 2019 are invited to attend the 17th annual Rock County Community Baby Shower, Thursday, October 17, 4-8 pm, at Blackhawk Technical College, 6004 S. County Road G, Janesville. Speakers begin at 6 pm. This special free event is aimed to educate new parents on how to keep their babies safe and healthy during their first year of life.
The Rock County Community Baby Shower committee consists of several community organizations including: Beloit Health System, CESA 2-Birth to Three, Community Action/HUB Teen Parent Connection, Exchange Family Resource Center, Mercyhealth, Nutrition and Health Associates, Rock County Health Department, SSM Health-Janesville and University of Wisconsin Extension Family Living/Nutrition Education.
Registration is not required. Participants will enjoy a night of fun, refreshments, light appetizers, gifts and raffle drawings. Resource booths will include several local service agencies and businesses. First 125 moms will get a free gift bag. Moms, dads, support persons and children under 6 months only.
