Mercyhealth’s Love Light Tree to Shine December 6

The Mercyhealth Association of Volunteers invites the community to purchase a light for its 36th Annual Love Light Tree in honor of or in memory of a special someone this holiday season. Each $3 donation represents one light on the tree. The name of each person remembered or honored will appear once in The Gazette. Individuals donating $30-$99 will be listed as Patrons in The Gazette. Those who donate $100 or more will be listed as Angel Patrons and businesses making a donation of $200 or more will be listed as Corporate Sponsors in The Gazette.

The outdoor tree lighting ceremony will be held Monday, December 6, 6 pm, next to the Love Light Tree, near the main entrance at Mercyhealth Hospital and Trauma Center–Janesville, 1000 Mineral Point Ave., Janesville. Guests must wear a mask and practice social distancing at all times. The tree will be lit nightly during the holiday season to provide comfort and lift the spirits of all who see it.

Donations for the Love Light Tree go directly to Wigs for Patients, Meals on Wheels and Hospitality House—three Mercyhealth Association of Volunteers’ community service projects.

Deadline is December 3 to ensure publication in The Gazette. Donation forms are found at mercyhealthsystem.org/lovelighttree or by calling Jill Ayres at (608) 756-6713.
