Mercyhealth is pleased to welcome James Hall, MD, board certified cardiothoracic surgeon, to the physician staff of Mercyhealth Heart and Vascular Center–Rockford.
Dr. Hall’s philosophy of care is to understand all medical, surgical and personal issues that a patient is dealing with at the time he consults with them. Discussions pertain not only to the surgery and post-op care, but to the impact that it has on their families and significant others. As a surgeon he believes all physicians, including primary care and specialists, should collaborate to coordinate the patient’s care for the best outcome.
Dr. Hall attended Harvard College, Cambridge, MA, for his undergraduate degree and then received his medical degree at University of Chicago-Pritzker School of Medicine, Chicago. Dr. Hall served a general surgery residency at Mayo Clinic and Affiliated Hospitals Programs, Rochester, MN, and a cardiothoracic surgery residency and fellowship at Emory University and Affiliated Hospitals Program, Atlanta. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery and American Board of Thoracic Surgery.
