JANESVILLE, Wisconsin- Mercyhealth is pleased to welcome Scott Meyers as new business manager of Mercyhealth Prehospital and Emergency Services, including Mercyhealth REACT air transport services in both Wisconsin and Illinois. In addition to his managerial role, he will be working with public safety agencies across Illinois and Wisconsin to assist with various training needs, such as tactical emergency medical services, rescue task force, tactical emergency casualty care, as well as classroom and workplace casualty care.
Scott most recently served as the Deputy Chief of the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department since 2010. He has over 26 years of experience in law enforcement serving in many capacities from corrections officer, patrol deputy, patrol sergeant and lieutenant. He also managed the Winnebago County Emergency Management Agency. There he oversaw a functional and fully operational Emergency Operations Center that coordinates and supports local, regional and state resources. Scott has been a Tactical Instructor for Mercyhealth since 2016.
Scott has a Master of Business Administration in Public Safety Leadership degree and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice degree. He is a graduate of Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command and the FBI National Academy. He also holds many certifications and memberships with the FBI, Emergency Management and US Department of Homeland Security.
