Mercyhealth Development Foundation Announces Raffle to Benefit House of Mercy Homeless Center

JANESVILLE, Wisconsin—Mercyhealth Development Foundation is pleased to announce its community raffle to benefit the House of Mercy Homeless Center. Raffle winners will be announced at the Foundation’s House of Mercy Charity Ball on Saturday, April 27.

This year’s grand prize is $5,000 in flooring donated by Carpetland. Second prize is $2,500 cash donated by Rohlik Financial Group. Third prize is a $1,500 gift certificate to the The Diamond Center, fourth prize is $500 cash donated by E&D Water Works Inc. Fifth prize is $250 cash donated by Blackhawk Bank.

Raffle tickets are $5 each, or five for $20, and may be purchased at the Mercyhealth Hospital Gift Shops in Janesville and Rockford, Mercyhealth Mall Pharmacy in Janesville, MercyCare Building in Janesville, all Janesville-area Blackhawk Community Credit Unions, and at the Charity Ball. You need not be present to win.

This year’s Charity Ball will take place Saturday, April 27, at the Janesville Country Club, 2615 W. Memorial Dr., Janesville. The elegant, black-tie optional evening will begin at 5 pm with a social hour, hors d’oeuvres and cocktails. It also includes a gourmet dinner, an impressive assortment of auction items, raffles and dancing to live music by Hip Pocket. Raffle prize winners will be announced at 10 pm.

Proceeds from the Charity Ball support the House of Mercy Homeless Center, a 25-bed facility in Janesville that provides homeless families with short-term emergency shelter and access to housing, job placement and child care resources. Monies raised will provide assistance with success planning, rent deposits, educational expenses, transportation and child care, and other expenses.

Charity Ball event tickets are $100 per person. Corporate tables of eight are $1,000. Seating is by reservation only. Also, please consider donating an item to the event’s silent or live auctions.
