JANESVILLE, Wisconsin—Mercyhealth Development Foundation is pleased to announce the date and location for its 2017 Charity Ball event to benefit the House of Mercy Homeless Center.
The event will be held Saturday, April 29 at the Janesville Country Club, 2615 W. Memorial Dr., Janesville. The prestigious, black-tie invited evening begins at 5 pm with a social hour, hors d’oeuvres and cocktails, followed by a gourmet dinner, music and a live and silent auction. Cost is $100 per person.
The House of Mercy is a 25-bed homeless center that provides homeless families with short-term emergency shelter and access to housing, job placement and child care resources. Since opening in 1996, the Center has provided shelter and support to over 6,000 individuals, half of whom were children. Almost every day, the Center’s 25-bed capacity is filled—but with the generous support of our community, the doors to the House of Mercy will continue to remain open, helping those in need. The donations received from our donors, community members and business corporations help the House of Mercy Homeless Center address the root causes of homelessness in our area.
The House of Mercy would like you to consider donating an item to the Charity Ball’s silent or live auction. Money raised from this night will provide homeless families with individualized success planning, rent deposits, education expense assistance, transportation, child care assistance and other expenses.
