JANESVILLE, Wisconsin—Mercyhealth Development Foundation and HuHot Mongolian Grill, 2431 Milton Ave., will host a HUCARES fundraiser to support the House of Mercy Homeless Center, Wednesday, July 11. Twenty percent of all food sales for the entire day will benefit the House of Mercy.
The House of Mercy is a 25-bed homeless center that provides homeless families with short-term emergency shelter and access to housing, job placement and child care resources. Since opening in 1996, the Center has provided shelter and support to over 6,300 individuals, half of whom were children.
Almost every day, the Center’s 25-bed capacity is filled—but with the generous support of our community, the doors to the House of Mercy will continue to remain open, helping those in need. The donations received from our donors, community members and business corporations help the House of Mercy Homeless Center address the root causes of homelessness in our area.
