Reducing Your Risk of Osteoarthritis

Osteoarthritis (OA) develops over time due to many factors. There are no known ways to prevent OA. But there are steps to help keep your bones and joints healthy:
  • Maintain a healthy weight to reduce stress on your joints.
  • Get regular exercise. Strong muscles protect the joint from too much stress.
  • Learn the proper technique for exercise and sports.
Healthy bones and joints may slow the onset OA or lower the severity.
