This hospital and clinic will include 13 inpatient beds, 24/7 comprehensive emergency services, and a variety of primary and specialty care services to meet the needs of the growing Crystal Lake area. Mercyhealth was formed by CEO Javon Bea in 2016 through the merger of Mercy Health System and Rockford Health System. Founded within months of each other in 1883, both systems had long and proud traditions of providing exceptional care to area residents. Each system brought unique strengths to the merger: Rockford Health System offered very specialized services like neonatal and pediatric intensive care, perinatal care and pediatric specialty services; Mercy Health System was an expert at integration and managing to the new model of Accountable Care. Together they form a strong, agile and well-rounded system that brings high quality health care services close to home for residents throughout the region.
